SwimRay is Singapore's top rated and most reviewed private swimming lessons provider. In a traditionally freelancer-dominated industry, Swimray differentiates in bringing a “School To You” approach. A fuss-free experience, Swimray provides convenience and top-notch survival swimming lessons at your doorstep, with every administrative needs and coaches’ performance extensively attended to.
The founder’s time in the Naval Diving Unit had taught him combat survival swimming skills that motivated him to impart a unique swimming methodology that centres around the fundamentals learnt from the NDU. The traditional swimming syllabus focuses on learning-to-swim strokes, which does not give enough attention to actual accident survival skills. As such, SwimRay has developed a syllabus that aims to replicate realistic situations that allows swimmers to be competent in any sort of situation under water, be it in the pool or sea. SwimRay’s coaches are stringently selected and trained with the core focus on the value of empathy. This is done through special needs training programs and sports science methodology that aims to harden the coaches into empathetic teachers for all backgrounds and phobia.
In a fast-paced society where education and career progression is the utmost priority, it is easy to forget the impact a sports coach can play in a child’s live. Other than just imparting skills, sports coaches instil values and mould characteristics such as resilience and discipline that can change the path of their future growth. As a passionate sportsmen, the founder started out with a dream of impacting the masses on the value of sports, just like how it has impacted him. With the SME100 Award, it serves to remind one of how many lifes Swimray has touched in these years, and motivates the school to further broadening its reach even more.
SwimRay views its swimming lessons as “products” that can be varied to continually provide different values to consumers. This includes creating new type of lessons to cater to the latest trend of fitness and lifestyle goals. The school also integrates the use of Apps to ease the feasibility of booking swimming lessons and reviewing their coach’s performance.
SwimRay regularly gives back to the community by being the only swimming school that consistently organises free swimming lessons to charity organisations such as the Down Syndrome Association of Singapore and the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped. SwimRay invites all charitable organisations to give the school a shout out for any new partnership.
