Swift Bridge Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd was established in 2012 as a majority Malaysian owned
company that designs, develops and manufactures High Precision Radio Frequency
(RF) Coaxial Test Cable Solutions from 45GHz to 110GHz, as well as automotive wire harness
or cable assembly manufacturer in Malaysia.
Its headquarter and Center of Excellence (CoE) was incorporated in Penang, Malaysia while it has research and development facilities based in Oregon, US and a manufacturing plant in Kedah, Malaysia.

The company provides a complete solution from concept to production, including customized
assembly which supports test and measurements, automotive, energy, industrial automation,
and across the electrical and electronics industry in the US, Canada, India and South-East Asia
countries.
It has launched a new RF product with a higher frequency, for instance 110GHz, and 90 percent is exported to the USA for existing customers. To ensure the sustainability of its export activities in the long term, the company’s strategic business plan is to focus on research and development to develop new products.
Apart from that, the plan also targets to expand its existing business market to tap into other countries, for instance Asia Pacific Region and Europe countries.
In 2020, the company invested RM10 million for capital expenditure in its new CoE, as well as the new 125GHz VNA test machine for design, research and development activities. Swift Bridge Technologies targets to expand the 70 GHz to 110GHz product to new markets such as Germany and other potential markets in the next phase for market development.
In terms of accessing the innovation project, the management has a formal review quarterly with engineering to determine the progress toward the 1-3-5-year product road maps. The company does this for several reasons: to confirm that resource constraints do not hinder the overall progress, to review budgets, and to verify that the plans made previously are still valid and always on track to be accomplished.
The company also engages in voice-of-the-customer sessions whereby the sales & marketing team goes to customer sites to present a highlevel version of the product roadmaps, this is an effort to validate the direction is on track, and the feedback collected from those visits is given in a report format which will be presented to the management.
Swift Bridge Technologies practises a matrix organisational structure, majority of the key management team and employees have dual reporting relationships, or in other words a lean organizational structure. The company believes as such structure promotes collaboration and communication, the open line of communication allows resources sharing as well as empowers employees to develop new skills from working with different departments.

We are very honoured and deeply grateful to receive the SME100 Award. We believe that when you hold up a trophy, you hold aloft the aspirations of your business partners, the confidence, and trust of your clients and the dreams of the founders. I like a quote from Stephen R Covey, ‘always treat your employees exactly as you want them to treat your best customers.’ In order to be successful, we must start internally with employees!
During the pandemic period in 2020, the company managed to sail
through the storm with a strategic resilience during the Covid-19 crisis.
Foreseeing the upcoming wave of crisis, the company adjusted the
business-model innovation by focusing on exports.
The company also grabbed the opportunity by upskilling both the employees and facilities to cater to the trend of Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 towards process automation and data exchange using industrial internet of things (IoT).
Swift Bridge Technologies invested in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which enables the company to gain better visibility into manufacturing processes and supply chain activities. This has proven that the company is more resilient by rapidly adapting the strategies to address both the challenges and opportunities created by the crisis.

Apart from that, the company also cultivates the culture of Corporate
Social Responsibilities (CSR). By involving the employees for
community service, they assembled 250,000 pieces of face shield and
donated it to students at primary and secondary schools in Penang.
During the long fight against the pandemic for the past two years which has caused a major strain on the medical field, the company donated 500 units of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Penang General Hospital. Both the CSR projects were worth RM 500,000.
As testament, the company has received awards from 2016 to 2022, including the Malaysia Top 50 Enterprise Award in 2019, SOBA Award in 2019, Outstanding SMEs Golden Bull Award in 2020 and Export Excellence Award in 2022.
