Global Specialty Ingredients began in 2005 as a premier manufacturer of food ingredients and supplier of value-added functional components and was founded by Dr Robert Basker, who is the CEO and Technical Director and assisted by his wife who is the CFO. GSI has sponsored the Selangor Hockey team, financial assistance for the infrastructure of schools, supported students of non-aided schools, nursing homes, contribution to support solar-powered electricity in remote villages, helped the unemployed and afflicted families due to the pandemic, food grains and essentials to middle-aged/unemployed widows.
