Harnessing the upside in Smart Phone ownership and the rise of eCommerce especially during the pandemic period, Samuel Fo Wei Hao represents a new breed of successful entrepreneurs emerging from the Covid era. Samuel has worked in international IT companies for over 10 years helming senior management position. His years of experience honed in sales, creative marketing and online marketing have enabled him to achieve an enviable record of 12,000 orders in a single day on the online platform during his tenure.

In 2021 Samuel had to give up his well remunerated job to return to Malaysia to care for his elderly parents. During this time, he observed opportunities in his hometown especially in the area of home furnishing which spurred him to set up SAMSPACE in the same year. He initially sold lightings and lamps, but the range of products gradually expanded to include fans, sofas, tables, chairs, cabinets and other furniture items as customer patronage and demand grew.

With a passion for the Arts and a good eye for Design, Samuel chose Space Design, particularly in the area of furniture. Having acquired more than a decade of international work experience and a keen sense of customer centricity, Samuel placed a lot of effort into setting up the initial operations, ever mindful to differentiate from other mass market businesses by focusing and sourcing cost effective unique and rare products from overseas. Uppermost in his business decision process and principles is that SAMSPACE must be able to provide customers with the highest CP value products. This guiding principle have helped SAMSPACE enter the Malaysian market quickly, and in the space of less than a year, the company achieved a respectable turnover of over RM1 million!

As a result of the rapid growth in eCommerce, many people are also looking for a slice of the pie, and Samuel shares his experience that "It's important to have a complete SOP in place, including market research, brand positioning and psychological preparation. You must not follow trends or go with the flow but create value in your field in order to stand out."

Samuel has outlined an ambitious plan for the establishment of SAMSPACE Lifestyle Concept Stores into various cities. The first concept store will be built in Port Dickson. The completion of the store in 2023 will follow through to Penang and Johor. Samuel aims to take SAMSPACE nationwide and make it a leading listed company in the market and a pride of Malaysia.
