The company evolved from a traditional one to one of the leading global providers with innovative and fully integrated supply chain solutions. What does this award mean to your company? - As logistics service provider or logistics company, may not many companies been selected to win this award, maybe some of the them may not comply on the criterial. Specially Bumiputra company has selected, I am feeling proud and this will have high confident level and I can stand along with all giant companies in the market locally and globally. How will your company improve further after winning this award? Locally - Our local and existing customers will have more confident and will stick their business movement with us for more year to come. - Good selling point for attract attention new customers to use our services. Globally - Will publish to our International Network to attract them to work or choose us as priority for handling their cargo movement out from or to Malaysia. Usually every country, will have 3-4 logistics companies represent for Malaysia for each International Network Membership. With this award, the priority will go to us.
Among AEO’s achievements are securing Shoppe e-commerce cargo from China and Hong Kong with volume average of 100 tonnes per month and weekly 3 flights from Hong Kong to Penang. AEO has also secured three-year contracts with East Marine Engineering to import marine engineering equipment from China to Port Klang, Malaysia. AEO’s capability has grown aggressively and has registered positive profits over three continuous years, maintaining an upward trend during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the social responsibility front, AEO has allocated funds to help the poor and organizations.
Winning the SME 100 Award is an honour and reflects the company’s role in the domestic and global logistics industry. It will enhance the customers confidence in the company’s services and would be a selling point for new customers. AEO also hopes that the award will strengthen its position as Malaysia’s representative in the International Network Membership.
