Rurutiki Sdn. Bhd. is a home-grown E-commerce enabler in Malaysia.
The company started out from a small town called Kulai in the state of Johor, Malaysia. The holding company is an established distributor in offline retail for the past 80 years, and in 2016 decided to establish Rurutiki with the intention of venturing and embracing the E-commerce business model, which back then, has never been thought of as a workable business channel in Malaysia.
Many doubted the company’s decision to move to online selling but Rurutiki stuck by its belief and vision and persisted. Rurutiki started with just four employees, a laptop, a printer, a shared warehouse space of 6,100 sq. ft. and some carton boxes. After five years, Rurutiki relocated to Selangor, supported by a full fledge team of more than 60 employees, managing a combined warehouse space of more than 68,000 sq. ft. and are now driving the E-commerce business for local and international brands, with a significant triple-digit growth year-on-year.
Rurutiki is honoured to receive the recognition from SME100 as one of Malaysia’s Fast Moving Companies. Our journey started in 2016 and we have grown leaps and bounds, overcoming various challenges in achieving our vision and mission of becoming one of the leading E-commerce enablers in Malaysia and the region. This award marks a significant achievement to our team’s dedication and relentless effort in overcoming new challenges of the digital world and the ever-changing demands of both clients and consumers.
