A kampung boy hailing from a small town in Sungai Petani, Kedah found that shortcoming compelling and established Alam Maju Construction Sdn. Bhd. in 2009 to help improve the lives of rural communities by providing proper shelter.

Albert Lim believes that the most important aspect is never be selfish. People needs to learn to share their knowledge with one another. In 2016, he established a company called Alam Maju Development Sdn. Bhd. with four partners, IR. Yeoh Peng Seah, Lim Huat Nam, Lim Aik Seong and Beh Mail Chuin. Each has an important role in the company. Albert Lim have 35 years experience in this field. So he is a key man in providing consultancy to the team in the running of the project. IR. Yeoh Peng Seah, BKM is a professional Civil Engineer with more than 30 years experience. Lim Huat Nam is the Project Manager who is familiar in the construction field for more than 20 years. He prepares work programs and arranges the work with contractor sand workers. Lim Aik Seong is Site Supervisor who ensures that all works at the site are running smoothly and according to schedule. Beh Mail Chuin is responsible for administration which include follow-up with the authorities, project consultancy, marketing, and sales and purchase orders. Albert Lim believes that one should keep an open mind because everyone is a teacher and one can learn from every experience.
