Utama Multimodal Logistics Sdn Bhd (UML) was formed in January 2014 to provide transport services, innovative solutions, and constructive consultation to the pharmaceutical industry.

UML entered into a blue ocean with an uncontested market space and continuously adopted strategies to create a leap in value for the company and to stay a step ahead of the game.

UML is proud to be the first Malaysian pharmaceutical supply chain management company that provides peerless and dedicated state-of-the-art services and solutions to the industry that allow its customers to adhere to statutory guidelines.

With a combined experience gained over the years, the team thought out-of-the-box and proposed innovative solutions and avant-garde services to prospective customers to fill in the gap in a broken pharmaceutical supply chain.

2021 was a great year for UML. Besides continuing to serve clients such as Pharmaniaga Berhad and Duopharma Biotech Berhad with the regular pharmaceutical transportations and blood plasma shipments, the company ventured into a new area by assisting laboratories and diagnostic centres to send and collect bio-specimens between Peninsular and East Malaysia.
The company were at the forefront of the pandemic when we had to airlift daily Covid-19 samples from East Malaysia to the Peninsula to generate faster results. In addition, UML was entrusted to handle vaccines shipments from the Peninsula to East Malaysia.

2022 will be another epic year for the company. It will be a growth year where we will embark on the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, specifically for the controlled drugs segment. The future of pharmaceutical is digital, and UML is ready to lead this supply chain.
